Bridge Over River

About Julia

But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

I lived for several years alone in north east Oklahoma, the area known as "Green Country".

In November of 2020, the Lord moved me to Fort Smith, Arkansas. Soon, I will be moving again, to Dallas, Texas.

I'm a dog-person I enjoy (besides dogs) reading, crochet, painting and running. I've been kicking around the idea of running a marathon!

I was diagnosed with allergy-related asthma in 2016, and from that time, I began a long battle with illness. I had the flu, bronchitis, then viruses in my lungs. For extra fun, I was allergic to Tamiflu, antibiotics made me sicker and so they put me on steroids. There were lots of medical tests and medications, and I was miserable. During this time I struggled with depression; the illnesses and the depression just kept cycling. I also suffered from severe pain in my neck and shoulders. It seemed as though I was never going to get better. It was a time that forced me to decide: do I really believe what I say I do? Do I really believe God heals, even though He hasn't healed me yet? It was definitely a "valley" in my life.

One day that heavy, black cloud of depression over my head finally broke. Slowly, I started to feel better. I've since been climbing out of that valley and am beginning to feel like my old self. Late December of 2019, I started to take up running again. I started very sloooowly and then, the pandemic hit. Well, I decide I wouldn't let that stop me! I KNEW God was moving and getting read to mobilize me. So I am working on improving my health, strength and endurance, to be able to do the physical work for the Kingdom, as well as the spiritual!
